I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day but it is so hard for me to get up before my kids and make them a hot breakfast (they are very early risers).  Well, the girls had a sleepover so that meant two things- 1. my girls would not be up super early and 2. I might not cook breakfast for my own kids but when we have guests, that is a completely different story ;)

Homemade Christmas cookies aren't as difficult to make as you may think

Homemade Christmas cookies aren't as difficult to make as you may think

There is something magic in a homemade Christmas cookie.

The store-bought variety is practically everywhere just now, even in shops that don't normally sell food. Some of them will be perfectly all right, and a lot of busy folks will settle for them, especially if they've been gifted with a tin.

But bought cookies just don't have the conjuring power of those that are homemade. Bound up in warm nostalgia that may have no place in reality, a homemade Christmas cookie will even stir up people who don't keep the holiday or especially care for sweets.
