It  is no big surprise that every year our schools budgets are cut. Put I love the fact that both local and national business provide opportunities for schools to earn money for supplies that they need. Target is no exception.

First, if you have a Target credit card you can sign up for a certain percentage to be donated annually to a school of your choice. Going on right now Target is sponsoring a program where you simply click your schools icon and your school recieves a vote.  For every 25 votes, Target will send your school a $25 gift card.

RINCON - For a pair of 10-year-old Rincon
girls, spending summer afternoons selling beverages to passersby isn't
about making ice cream money.

Michaela Pannell and Avrie Shadley,
both rising fifth-graders at Blandford Elementary School, spent four
afternoons this week selling flavored beverages and bottled water in
front of Silverwood Plantation to raise money for Avrie's 15-year-old
brother's battle against a rare spinal condition.

A rare disease

Gregory Shadley Jr., 15, had a normal life.
