Local folk-painting artist Panhandle Slim had art on the walls of the Hangfire bar last Saturday night.
The venue was non-smoking and the floors were scrubbed clean for the dozens of children who attended the fundraising art event.
The show was a benefit for local autism group Generation Rescue - donated food and prizes were raffled off from the door admission tickets.
I've been to some other kid-friendly events at the Hangfire - so I was already over the shock of being in a bar with my little son.
