I got a bike for Christmas, and I love
it! It had been ages (more than a decade) since I'd ridden a bike,
but my big kids can both ride on two wheels now, so I thought it
would be fun to be able to ride with them.

And for our 2-year-old we got one of
those little buggy things that attaches to the bike so he can ride
along. I call it his chariot.

It was Kite Day recently at my daughter Anna's school, and parents were invited to attend. Anna was very excited about the whole affair. She already had a kite, purchased at the dollar store over a year ago, that we had never gotten around to opening. Now her Care Bears would have their chance to fly! She proudly carried her kite to school that morning and reminded me to come back later to watch.

Since the kids are out of school - here's a fun activity:

The annual Chick Hatchery at Oglethorpe Mall starts Wed. April 8 and runs through Fri. April 10 from 10 AM -8
PM in the mall indoor courtyard Barnes & Noble and Belk’s.

Talk about a photo opp - get a shot of their eyes as the chick break from the egg, then get one of little hands holding the newly hatched bird.
