USA Weekend magazine had an article recently that discussed what to do if your child was prone to motion sickness.  Suggestions included making sure the child travelled on a full stomach, keeping the child cool by using a cold compress on the back of the neck, driving gently, avoiding DVD, video games, and reading, and the use of various medications.
