Different parents excel in different ways. We all have our own specialties. Some are Super Creative with Crafts. Some are Awesome Cooks of Tasty Food. Some are Very Athletic and Sporty. You get the idea.

More thoughts on helping our public schools

In response to my recent post about public schools and parental involvement, a friend of mine suggested that encouraging parents to volunteer in the classroom cannot be a sufficient substitute for the actual parents' involvement. It can help the problem, but not fully solve it.

Unbelievable Awful Threes

I ended up having to go into the Burger King Play Ground yesterday to get my very poorly behaved 3 year old. There I was shimmying myself through tube after tube in an effort to retrieve her, but her running away from me didn't help!  What also didn't help was that my mom and dad were laughing at me and taking pictures from the comfort of their seats. Once I captured the prisoner she was kicking and screaming!

Whether you work or stay home with children, time is always an issue. If you can't seem to find time to work out, why not combine your workout with spending time with your children?

There are many parks and recreational areas to jog while pushing a stroller or letting your toddler ride his bike or scooter beside you.
