What my kids planned for Labor Day

by Traci Schumacher on Tue, 09/03/2013 - 4:18pm

Well, we had a nice Labor Day weekend... a little beach, a little pool, a little shopping. Pretty much something for everyone.

This year my kids made the connection that "labor" means "work," so they decided Labor Day should be a work day around the house. This realization occurred on Sunday, so that evening they began cleaning up. How cool is that?!

The Work Card

by Katiebarnes on Sat, 08/27/2011 - 6:46pm

This is a card my husband lays out every time one of our kids gets up in the middle of the night. My youngest is 5 months so those midnight strolls to his room are quite often. I am a stay at home mom of a vivacious 3 year old, Mia, my  “Laniac” 1year old (maniac with a L, her name is Lani,), and my 5 month old night owl, Ben.

Office Politics - Will You Be Dealing With Things Like These When You Return to Work?

by TheResumePro on Thu, 11/19/2009 - 4:10pm

These are top three thing women would do -
according to a survey published in the November, 2009 issue of Women's
Health magazine - to snag apromotion:

  1. " Work late every night, plus go into the office on weekends.
  2. Kiss up to her boss even though she doesn't like him / her.
  3. Talk smack about a co-worker who's also up for the spot."

Hmm, what do you think? Are you ready for office politics?

Let me know!
