Savannah's Veterans' Day parade downtown on Saturday will start at 10:15, beginning at Abercorn St and Gwinnett St. You may want to arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 to get a good spot. 4th of July weekend is almost upon us! Do you have plans yet?

Maybe you feel like taking a short trip to Fort Stewart to see the Zac Brown Band in concert for free. Yes, for free. You'll have to show up early though. (More details below).

Or perhaps you'll want to stick around Savannah or Tybee and catch fireworks with family and friends.

May 27-29. Enjoy a weekend full of fun, patriotism and entertainment on historic River Street. Savannah Riverfront announces the Armed Forces Festival will return to Savannah's historic riverfront. This event celebrates all our armed forces and pays tribute to the men and women that courageously fought and fight for our country.

Olde Effingham Days Festival
7-10 p.m. April 15; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 16, Effingham Museum and Living History Site, 1002 Pine St. Springfield. Event activities include demonstrations of blacksmithing, syrup making, children’s games, Civil War reenactments and tours.
