Funny Things Kids Say
"Mama, I didn't drown and I didn't go to the center of the Earth".
Said little H. as he came over to the
grown folks, he was soaking wet and laughing. He had just "slipped" off the low brick wall into the shallow
fish pond at a friend's courtyard dinner party.
He sounded genuinely surprised that the fish pond didn't go to the center of the earth.
The great ideas and word play that kids come up with are so charming.

Got a good one!
Several years ago, my cousin was potty training. My aunt was teaching her to say when she needed to use the restroom, but sometimes she got confused and would announce AFTER she had used the restroom.
So, anyway, it was Thanksgiving dinner in my parents formal living room and the whole family is eating dinner and carrying on a steady conversation. Suddenly, Elizabeth stands up in her chair, holds her hands in the air and screams "I POOPED"!
The family laughed as my aunt and uncle explained that it was inappropriate to say at the table. So, my aunt and cousin went to restroom to fix this problem.
As we sat around the table and laughed about what had just happened, we hear, from the bathroom, "BIIILLLL, WE NEED YOU!"
Bill is my uncle's first name - Elizabeth's Dad's name.
All in all, the situation was hilarious and will be talked about for years to come!

Haha, don't you love those stories that are too embarrassing to ever let fade away.
When do think kids get really self conscious, around 2nd grade? Maybe first grade for little girls?
