Journaling: Saving my thoughts for my children
I am the one in the family who is always trying to document those important events in our lives. Whether it is on camera or paper - I want to remember everything. More importantly, I want my children to know as much "stuff" about their family and their childhood as possible.
I normally just take a ton of pictures and videotape as much as I can. But writing down your thoughts and details of those sentimental moments can mean so much later in life. After all, technology gets outdated so quickly. I can't even watch my daughters' first hours of life because they're on VHS!
I was taking a look at products from Journals Unlimited. This particular book is a journal specifically designed for moms. What I like about it is that the journal is not blank inside. It prompts me with statements like, "Today for the first time you...", "Today I feel..." and "Special magical moments".
What a wonderful gift it would make. I'm thinking of getting a "Girls Only" journal for my 10-year-old. As a mom, can you imagine reading your thoughts at the age of 10? Something like that is invaluable.
Journals Unlimited offers more than 55 titles including:
Day Planner
Road to Wellness
Girls Only
Food & Fitness
Inspirations
Wedding Planner
And the list goes on.
The journals are fairly inexpensive - considering what you'll get in return. These wonderful little books can even be personalized. Be sure to check out their website. If you do, please let me know what you think.
So, I have one of these wonderful mom journals (A Mother's Journal, Kraft Cover 7.5"x9", 200 Pages ) that we're giving away. Click here to register to win.
Good luck and happy writing!
