The Center for a Sustainable Coast will host their 20th-anniversary conference on Saturday, June 17, to celebrate their continued efforts in protecting Georgia’s coast. The program will include a retrospective of Georgia’s coastal issues and a discussion about the profound challenges that lie ahead.

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Fourth Annual Scholarship Gala for Bethesda Academy will be held at The Plantation Club at The Landings, on Friday, May 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This event will support the Gateway Scholarship Fund and celebrate Bethesda Academy’s 22 seniors in the Class of 2017 the evening before they graduate.

(SAVANNAH, GA) The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society is hosting their annual Camp Buddy summer camp in Chatham County. This educational and therapeutic camp runs for two weeks starting Monday, July 14 and ends Friday, June 25 at Marshpoint Elementary School. (www.ldssga.org)

Camp Buddy is for children with Down syndrome, ages 3-13. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ages 3-5 and 10-13. For children ages 6-9, it runs from 1 to 4 p.m.

Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society Announces Effingham Camp Buddy Starting June 23

(EFFINGHAM, GA) The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society is hosting their annual Camp Buddy summer camp in Effingham County. This educational and therapeutic camp starts Monday, June 23 and ends Friday, June 27 at Rincon Elementary School. (www.ldssga.org)

Effingham Camp Buddy is for children of all ages with Down syndrome. For children ages 3 and over, Effingham Camp Buddy runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. For children under 3, the camp runs from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

most students and their parents, and the floundering economy over the
past couple of years has made it that much tougher for students to come
up with the funds necessary to attend the college of their choice. But
finding a college that is a perfect fit and securing a scholarship to
help pay for it is not as elusive as it may seem.
