Summer vacation in coming to an end and its time to start preparing for the upcoming school year. There are signs of Back to School everywhere you shop.  Stores are putting out school supplies and uniforms are soon to hit the racks. As a former educator I would like to give you some helpful hints.

Buy at least two sets of school supplies- you will usually need a set a home in order to do homework. I would even suggest getting more than 2 sets of some items like pencils, crayons, notebook paper, and folders because they are cheaper this time of year and you will more than likely need to replace them throughout the year.

School Budgets are also decreasing- teacher will need certain items to help make their classroom run smoothly. Please ask them what you can donate when you go to visit them at open house.

JcPenny's has great sales on school uniforms and they are made out of quality material.  Outlet stores are usually cheaper, but you are also more likely to have to replace them too.

There are also several upcoming events to help get the families in need prepared for school. 

South Carolina Tax Free Weekend in Aug. 3 - 5- Georgia is not having one this year :(
