What's on Your Summer Bucket List?
We are in the first week of summer and it looks like it’s going to be raining again! Take the time now to decide what you want to do this summer! The girls and I made our Summer Bucket List a couple of weeks ago but it is never too late to start one!
I bought our bucket at Target (in the Dollar Spot) and a package of clothespins at the Dollar Tree. I cut out “Summer Bucket List” using my Cricut and some vinyl. I saw some really cute alphabet stickers at Target, if you don’t have a cutting machine. So the max this craft will cost you is $3. The package of 36 clothespins at the Dollar Tree fit perfectly around this bucket.
So, what kind of things did you put on the clothespins, you might ask. Well, I gathered my girls and asked them what they wanted to do this summer. I had to coach them a little, just to remind them where we are going. I can’t share all of our bucket list ideas, unless you are planning to make trips to Philadelphia, Rhode Island and Chicago :) But some local activities the girls want to do are:
-See a Sand Gnats game (we are going this week IF it is not rained out! Have you been before? It is fun for the whole family and is CHEAP! They have a different promo each day and you don’t have to pay to park! I just like it because we can get snacks or take a restroom break anytime and not have to wait until the end of the inning…like at bigger stadiums. Sorry for the rabbit trail but honestly, going to at least one Sand Gnats game is a MUST for any family in Savannah!)
-Go to the beach in 3 states
-see fireworks
-water balloon fight
-make s’mores
-can jam
-go to VBS
-take swim lessons
-have a sleepover
-go berry picking
-go to a water park
-see a play
-eat seeded watermelon
-go to the zoo
-be buried in the sand
-make popsicles
-go to the movies
-go boogie boarding
-complete Live Oak Library’s summer reading
Then, when you complete an activity, just drop the pin in the bucket! You can definitely use this from year-to-year and try to complete the list again or think of new activities every year. Either way, I hope it will be a fun tradition for your family!
