The Coastal Heritage Society (CHS) successfully launched the Exploration Station of Savannah's first children's museum. CHS celebrated opening day with an official ribbon cutting ceremony blessed with sincere enthusiasm and gratitude by Mayor Edna Jackson and Alderman Mary Osborne from the 2nd district:

"What we saw as mess, Scott saw as a vision. What we saw as we should tear it down, he said we should build it up. What we saw as something that maybe would not work, he has made it a reality along with his staff and he is to be commended for all of that."
