Go Beyond "Auto" photography workshop!

I've been working as a family photographer for several years now & part of my work is getting moms to stop telling their kids to smile at me. And please - Don't say cheese! It produces fake smiles! Being patient & having fun with them produces the best results.

As a photographer & mom I want to take awesome pictures of my daughter. If I ask her to smile, I get a big fake grin. If I make her laugh, I'll get a natural looking smile. I've learned a lot about how to get natural, great smiles from her & my clients.

As a photography business owner & as a mom with a 4 year old, I meet a lot of other moms with cameras who just want to take great pictures of their kids. They have great digital cameras, but are frustrated with their soccer shots, frustrated that their pictures don't look as good as they'd hoped for.

My business partner teaches photography at the Art Institute of Charleston & we decided to create a workshop to help get parents/photo enthusiasts off the "auto" mode of their cameras. We'll cover the mechanics of your camera, how to get the correct exposure, how to change your settings. We have designed this with a hands on part where we help you change the settings on your camera as you shoot. My goal is to encourage you to learn your camera to help you develop confidence in shooting.

Our workshop is this Saturday Oct.20 from 9.30-12.30. Please feel free to email me at info @ bluowlphotography.com
