Pride of Pooler 5K and Family Fun Run/Walk
8:30 am.: Fun run and walk; 9 a.m.: 5K, April 2, Pooler Elementary School, 308 Holly Avenue, Pooler. The event is to raise money for the school while promoting community involvement and exercise. Registration: $20; $15 Ages 17 and younger; Fun Run/walk is free. Proceeds benefit the academic and recreational needs. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. Reader’s Theatre

Islands MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

"Pippi Longstockings"

Tour de Kids benefit
9 a.m. - noon, April 2, Lake Mayer Community Park. Fund raiser for Interfaith Hospitality Network of Coastal Georgia. A kids’ bike tour around Lake Mayer to raise money for homeless children in Savannah. Prize levels for individuals and teams. The team that raises the most money will receive a team Pizza Party and all team members will receive a fun goodie bag. All children in grades preK-8th are invited to participate. Cost: $10 registration includes an event T-shirt, water bottle and access to carnival-style activities in the park. Registration forms are due March 30. Daddy and Me
2 p.m. April 2, Rincon Library, 17th Street & GA 21, Rincon. This is a special 90-minute program for children 6 years old and younger and their dads or other male caregivers. Savannah Derby Devils
5 p.m. April 2, Savannah Civic Center, 301 W. Oglethorpe Ave. The season begins against the Lowcountry High Rollers of Charleston. The new B Team, the Hostess City Hellions, who will take on Charleston’s Bruisin’ Betties in the first game. Park Volunteer Day

International Festival
