How to have Smashing Hair
Dear Lovely Mommies,
Having a great hair day is a priceless happening and can lift your spirits and help you feel like a million bucks. You are filled with such elevated delight and it brings so much confidence to the table. Let’s face it, taking care of your hair is well worth it. There’s nothing like the feeling of walking out of a salon after you have been pampered and feel like a rock star.
At a recent visit to my salon, I had the honor of discussing hair care with two beautiful, talented Hair Specialists and they were kind enough to share some of their wonderful hair care maintenance suggestions and tips with me. Here’s what the Lovely Ladies suggested:
4 top ways to damage our hair
•Taking it upon yourself to over process your hair. #1 killer of hair.
•Over use of heat tools without a protectant on your hair. Apply a leave in conditioner to protect your hair from the elements. Try Goldwell~Kerasilk Leave-in Conditioner, about $14/bottle.
•Allowing too much time to expire between haircuts.
•Pulling your hair back in a rubber band in the same place consistently.
4 top ways to rejuvenate great hair
•Wash your hair every other day. Rinse with cool water to get a little extra shine.
•Visit your salon every 6-8 weeks to promote vigor and growth.
•Invest in a great conditioner such as Redkin All Soft, about $12/bottle.
•Wear a swim cap when swimming in a pool. Be sure to wet your hair beforehand and condition.
Taking the time to invest in your hair is a tremendous habit to create and promotes feelings of joy. Is it time for you to call your stylist?
